IMPORTANT NOTICE – The location of the driver's education orientation meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014, has been moved to the South Orangetown Middle School Auditorium.  This meeting is mandatory for student and parent.

New Courses for the Fall include:

Italian Cooking for Everyone – Trish Castelli & Roberta Avantifiori share their love of Italian cooking and invite you to spend relaxing evenings preparing authentic Italian dishes and then enjoying what was prepared.  Just in time for the holidays so you can impress your family!

Genealogy – Curious about your family tree?  Tony Lauriano has designed this course for those new to genealogy.  Tony will teach you how to research and obtain family records when you have limited information and time. 

Introduction to Social Media – Instructor Stuart Kerty will help you master the basics of Facebook & Twitter and will help you be connected with family, friends, and colleagues.  Students should be comfortable using a personal computer and web browser.

Privacy, Safety, & Security on the InternetStuart Kerty will teach you how to protect your personal information and be safe while using the internet.  This class requires no in-depth computer knowledge.

FALL 2014 DRIVER’S EDUCATION: MANDATORY orientation meeting for students and parents on Monday, September 8, 2014, 7 p.m. in TZHS Auditorium. Lecture class and driving instruction will begin on Monday, September 15.

SAT Review – there are two sessions for the SAT Review class taught by Mrs. Fiorentino.  Session I begins on September 17 for the SAT exam given on November 8.  Session II begins on October 6 for SAT exam on December 6.

Red Cross Babysitting Certification – this course, geared towards 11-15 year olds, will teach students the skills and confidence to safely and responsibly care for children and infants.  The class will be held on October 21 & 22 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the SOMS Cafeteria.
